Hi! In case you were wondering why I haven't updated my blog here for a while it is because I have rebranded my work. My new name and professional photography website is Pink Rose Photography. Shoot me an email or give me a call to get on my calendar. Take a look at my new site for all of my latest greatest work. Here is one of my last wedding I photographed.
We photographed Sasha and Evans Engagement photos in Little Cottonwood canyon at Temple Quarry. It is one of my favorite Utah photography locations. I met Evan at Premier Wellness. It is a holistic wellness center. He is a doctor at the holistic clinic. I worked for him many moons ago as I was going through my healing process after my baby passed away and my whole myriad of other problems like being divorced and single and dating and being a single mom and all that super good stuff. To say the least that this man was one of the greatest blessings in bringing me back to full health is an understatement. He got me to a place healthy enough to marry the man of my dreams six months and now here we are as he falls in love with honestly the girl of MY dreams! HA! But seriously, they couldn't be better for each other in every sense of the word. This kind of love is an honor to capture. It is humbling to be a spectator of two humans this real, this genuine, this lovely and this in love. I have an incredible love for their love and they give my heart a happy song to sing when I witness the twinkle in their eyes when they look at each other. I know this is a super sappy post but there are simply zero words to describe my elation for these two and for love in general. When I talked to Sasha for the first time on the phone I said, "It is So good to talk to the girl who FINALLY caught Dr. Brady's attention! Every girl young, old, available or not loves your fiancé." But seriously, it's true. I witnessed it. I think he's actually a natural born love doctor and I am not kidding even a little. ;-). He's probably blushing right now but he deserves all these nice words. I think God hand picked these two for each other. I cannot wait to capture their Utah Wedding. Love you two! To many years of love and joy!!!!
We did this Park City Family Portraits at Murray Park in Salt lake city Utah. I did their family photos in park city two years ago. My favorite is watching these kids grow up and having them remember me year after year. They did not dissapoint this year. Best job Ever. I tell you, these two little girls melt my heart. They are sweet, vivacious and smart, fun playful and loving.
I grabbed this photo below playing peek-a-boo with the sweet little jungle princess. It's a common game I play with the kids, especially the girls that gets them to give me cute expressions and pictures like this. Her eyes. Oh how her eyes capture my heart. This is one of those images I would blow up and put in her room as a huge print. Her eyes speak her heart. Pure, loving, Innocence. This is another one of those images that just speaks to me. Her eyes whisper to my heart. They tell me she's inquisitive and smart and a little bit sassy ;-). The best kind of sassy. Smart and sweet.
The best thing about sisters is you have a lifelong friend. I believe I have images almost identical to this two years ago of feet in my camera silly, goofy smiles playing with each other and with me.
Shelly Geller is a Utah photographer. We photographed pictures for Ms. Lily's LDS baptism at the Salt Lake Temple downtown Salt Lake City. Loved her sweet little spirit and loveliness. So grateful for my job.
Have a happy day!
Loved photographing my sisters family at our family reunion in Brian Head. I guess that makes me our official Family reunion photographer. Family photography in Utah is my favorite because of all of the photography locations. I love these little munchkins with all my heart.
We photographed the lovely Tiffany & Chimso and beautiful daughters at Wheeler Farm in Murray, Utah. I love photographing at Wheeler Farm because it is so versatile, it is so central in the Salt Lake Valley and it's only a $10 fee to shoot there. It is one of my favorite locations for photography in Utah. I photographed this lovely little family 4 years ago and back again a few weeks ago. I love when I watch my clients kids grow up. Always such a joy to see my clients year after year. Their love is tangible. I have the best clients ever. Seriously though, they make me happy. I am grateful to be a child photographer. I've recently decided being a Utah family photographer and Utah child photographer are my deepest and truest passion. It has been a hard decision to make, but there is something about the love of a family and the innocence of a child that leaves me lit up. I cherish not just my clients, but my clients children. These children in a way keep me young. Keep me reminded of what really matters in life. Most people enter a family photo session with the expectation of coming out with the 'perfect portrait'. My mission isn't to capture perfect, it is to capture real. Whatever your reality is, I want it. If it is a two year old being crazy, I want you to remember what those days feel like. If it's your three year old being a princess. If it is your dog that licks your baby, I want that. To me, the 'perfect portrait' is the portrait that tells your story.
Meet Danalee and Andy. I LOVE this couple. Danalee has been a dear friend of mine for quite some time. She is one of those friends you are blessed to call friend. She is one of those woman who just understands my hearts. She is beautiful inside and out. She is as sweet as she is intelligent as she is beautiful. This woman oh how I love her. They were married in the Bountiful Temple (I will blog that soon) and had their reception at the This is the Place Heritage Park. We photographed their engagements at This is the Place Heritage Park, The Carousel at South Towne Mall and the Ferris Wheel at Scheels. Dana was fretting about how she looked and was so nervous. I finally took her head in my hands and said, "Worrying is MY JOB! Having FUN and BEING IN LOVE is YOURS!" After that she did just that. She had fun and was so so in love with this man. Love you two. xoxo
My beautiful niece has been called to serve a mission in JAPAN for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We did some Missionary photos but also some high school portrait type photos. I did her senior photos last year, but these are the last pictures that will be taken of her while she is still a teenager. We have so much fun together. She loves to be photographed as much as I love to photograph her so we make a dynamic duo. ;-). Don't let her physical beauty fool you. She is as equally as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. We photographed this lovely ladies photos at the Oquirh Mountain Temple and Day Break in South Jordan, Utah. LOVE you Rebekah. See you in 18 months!!!! xoxo
Thank you for visiting my professional photography blog! For more examples of my work check out my photography website. Lots of love!
The beautiful Veronica Malloy is one of the most vibrant Utah Brides I have ever photographed. Their love is simply inspiring. The way this man adores this woman is humbling. To see the adoration in this mans eyes for this woman is truly from a fairy tale. Granted she is one of the most lovable women I have ever known. I met Veronica when she came to live with our family when I was 18 as she was transitioning from Brazil to the USA. She is a Pro competitor in PNBA (Professional Natural Body Building). Her ambition, love of life, dedication and her ability to do everything 110% is inspiring. I am grateful to know her and I am grateful I was the one who got to capture the beautiful moments of this couples love at the Utah Draper Temple. One of the best benefits of being a Utah Wedding Photographer is all of the beautiful temples around. Thank you Veronica and Kelly for inviting me into your special moments.

Every now and again you get a family like this. The kind who has a two year old who 'looks' like he isn't 'behaving'. The truth is, two year olds behave just the way they are suppose to.....and that is sometimes what looks 'naughty'. But is it naughty? Or is it just life? It's just life and that's why I love them. Perhaps I am drawn to little 2-3 year old boys because if you didn't know, my oldest son passed away at 22 months old 9 years ago. It sent me into my photographic journey with one mission. To capture not just the smile of a child, but the heart, the soul, the spirit, the personality and the relationship of that child. There is one thing that will gain in value over time more than anything, and that is the memories we invest in. I love these images. These are the kinds of images that speak to my heart and soul. They are the images the portray real life, real love and real joy. My heart is in family photography. Oh how I love you. Thank you for letting me peer into your life for that hour. Enjoy!
For more examples of my work, check out my professional photography website. Thanks for visiting my photography blog! We photographed this lovely family at the American Fork Ampitheater. It became one of my favorite locations. It's simply beautiful. Huge trees, groves, meadows, brick, ivy. Oh it was beautiful.
We had so much fun photographing The Adams Family in Lehi Utah at the Nook & Cranny. I Love photographing at the Nook and Cranny because it's central, it's versatile and you can use their props. There is a small $15 fee but worth it. I love being a Utah county Photographer. I am based in Lehi and so it makes it convenient to photograph families in Salt Lake and in Provo and Orem. The Adams family was so great to meet. This little fella was awesome. At first we were worried that we he was going to be grumpy, but with a water bottle, smarties, a puppet and a silly mom and dad we managed to get a few smiles out of this guy. I loved this session. I Love every session. But this one did my heart really good.
We photographed this lovely family at Saans Photography Studio in Salt Lake City Utah. There are a lot of beautiful Photography Studios in Utah but as a Salt lake Studio Photographer, I love Saans Photography Studio. Jaron is one of the best photographers in town and also one of the kindest. His studio offers quite a bit of versatility in way of a studio setting and just step outside for a great outdoor location as well. When I met the Baker family, I was taken back at the beauty of these girls. As I talked to them throughout the photo session, it became apparent they did not rely on their looks for attention. I made mention of their beauty and how they could be models. They both laughed and said, "Our parents teach us to be beautiful on the inside." At that point the father walked out and joined the conversation at which point he said, "We want our children to be loved for their talents and intelligence." Way to go Dad. I High Fived him.
This family was SUCH a joy to photograph. One thing I have learned as a photographer it is this...if your clients don't FEEL the smile behind the smile, they won't SEE the beauty behind the smile. Let me explain. I photographed a very beautiful family last year. Their outfits were out of a magazine, their hair was immaculate and the setting was perfect. I spent over 30 minutes what I normally give to my clients capturing this other family perfectly. At the end, the mother hated them......not because of what I did, (trust me they were some of my favorite images), but because she didn't feel happy at the shoot. No matter how hard I tried to reassure her and ease her stress, she wouldn't relinquish her worry to me. It is my job to make you feel at ease, to lighten the mood and to help you enjoy your experience. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO STRESS. Take the stress out of your photo shoot and give the stress to me and I PROMISE you will love your images. Let yourself FEEL your smile so that in the end you can see your love. It is as easy as that. The Baker family had it right. They felt the smile and so you can see their love. Thank you Liberty for finding me and believing that I could get the job done!
So what do you do when you get engaged in December and you want Spring flowers in your pictures at your wedding but you need to send out your invitations? You have TWO engagement sessions! How fun is that! Snow in one and flowers in the other. ;-). Check out their winter engagement session here. These two make me happy. We photographed these engagement photos in Salt lake City at Temple square. I love love love the blossoms. I love spring. Might be my favorite time of year to shoot. It just so happens I myself am getting married. . . ;-) !!!! It just so happens that THE only day that worked for my and my handsome fiance was May 1st. . . and it just so happens they are getting married on May 2nd so I will be shooting their wedding the day after mine! Good thing my fiance is a really huge romantic at heart cause he thinks it will be super cool to do something I love. With that being said, we are catching the red eye flight to Florida that night to catch our boat to the BAHAMAS! Wahoo!!!! Love me some love. I will post a few images of our pre-engagement session we did in Cabo when we went to visit in March. Yay for love. Yay for weddings. Yay for fairy tales and romance and love.

Stacy is one of my dearest friends. She came into my life just when I needed her. She is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. She shines beauty and joy wherever she goes. She is loving, kind and thoughtful. Her heart is worth more than gold itself. She is as fun to photograph as she is to talk to. ;-). My camera love love loves her. She is such a natural. Honestly, my belief is that anyone can be photogenic if they just feel comfortable with themselves, if they feel confident and they let loose. I love her little kids. We did her portraits in Salt Lake a few years ago. I love loved this location. It was super random. I spotted it while I was photographing another family and thought, "I HAVE to shoot there". it was off the beating path in Sandy Utah, just off the street down the street from my gym. Just a cute little grove of blossoming trees. Oh how I love blossom season. It makes my heart so happy. I am so grateful to be a photographer in Utah to behold such beauty all around me. There are endless locations to photograph in Utah. Stacy Chivers is one of the most excellent realtors in Utah. She is detail oriented and so knowledgeable in the industry. She has now been a realtor for 10 years. She is a ray of sunshine in my life and in every person she comes into contact with. Love you Beautiful.
Have a happy day!
We photographed Jadrie and Kai at Wheeler Farm in Murray, Utah. I love this location! It's so versatile and in the central part of Utah. The best part of being a Utah engagement photographer is capturing young love. Capturing the anticipation and excitement. Makes my heart smile as I see couples in love. It's so inspiring as a photographer. It's my best compliment when a man does not particularly enjoy taking photos but at the end they say, "that wasn't THAT bad." Ha. I try to make it as painless as possible for the men. Most of my grooms really like me because I make them kiss their lady a lot. Heck, who can complain about that? :-) It was so fun to be your Utah wedding photographer! Congrats you two!. Their wedding is coming right up!Check out my photography website for more examples of my work! www.shellygellerphotography.com. Thanks for visiting my photography blog!
